Behavioral Medicine Specialist Psychology Peds

About the role

Provides mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members with diverse mental health needs. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and manage individualized treatment plans, which may include outpatient psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and medication screening. Offers psychoeducational groups and supports families in treatment adherence. May supervise trainees and provide consultation to other healthcare providers. Utilizes community resources for member support and participates in departmental program development. Maintains confidential records and adheres to regulatory standards. Reports safety concerns as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• PhD, PsyD, or EdD in Clinical, Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Psychologist license (California or from any state) required at hire, with National Provider Identifier.
• Familiarity with DSM-V, psychological testing, and evidence-based practices.
• Experience in diagnosing and treating various psychiatric conditions, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy (individual, family, group).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to handle multiple objectives efficiently.
• Knowledge of social service agencies, regulations, and confidentiality standards.
