Behavioral Interventionist
Position Overview
Provides one-on-one services to clients enrolled in the Behavioral Interventionist program, following requirements and policies of agency, contracts, state regulations and COA standards at all times.
Maintains strong, open communication with caregivers of clients to ensure service efficacy and approval of agenda and activities during shifts.
Adheres to family routines and structure as established.
Directs, coaches, and implements approved intervention strategies.
Engages with client actively and regularly by using approved trauma-informed brain stimulating activities.
Follows the goals established in the Individualized Behavioral Objective Plan to help youth work toward and achieve treatment goals.
Models positive behavior and effective problem-solving techniques.
Completes all shift documentation within twenty-four (24) hours of a shift worked.
Maintains strong, open communication with direct supervisor regarding services delivered, concerns, or questions.
Participates as an active team member by attending and participating in all scheduled staff meetings (bi-monthly) and professional development trainings.
Meets with client's professional team and attends court hearings as requested by supervisor.
Participates in monthly supportive supervision with direct supervisor.
Requirements
Requires evening and weekend availability.
Qualifications
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background screening, a fingerprint-based records search, and reference checks.
Continued employment is contingent upon annual background screening and participation in an ongoing random drug and alcohol testing program.

Skills
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and trauma-informed care.
