Qualifications

  • Masters in Psychology or related field required.
  • One to Three (1-3) years’ experience working with the DD population.
  • Must be computer literate, detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written skills.

Skills

  • Provide psychological services in assigned IRA residence.
  • Assess consumer functioning using standardized instruments like adaptive behavior scales and IQ tests.
  • Assess informally through record reviews, staff interviews, and behavioral observation.
  • Report findings and recommendations to IDT.
  • Develop behavioral treatment plans, monitoring plans, and behavior guidelines/protocols.
  • Train staff on individual’s psychological profiles and needs.
  • Follow up on group training via direct observation of individual staff performance.
  • Prepare consults for appointments regarding individual’s mental and behavioral status, including medication recommendations.
  • Attend regularly scheduled team meetings and residential staff meetings.
  • Obtain informed consent for potential consumer rights restrictions.
  • Present individual cases to the HRC monthly and annually.
  • Maintain required contact with the CAB representative, Medicaid Service Coordinator, and Psychology Services Coordinator.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA practices.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the facility and agency reputation.
