Qualifications
- Masters in Psychology or related field required.
- One to Three (1-3) years’ experience working with the DD population.
- Must be computer literate, detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written skills.
Skills
- Provide psychological services in assigned IRA residence.
- Assess consumer functioning using standardized instruments like adaptive behavior scales and IQ tests.
- Assess informally through record reviews, staff interviews, and behavioral observation.
- Report findings and recommendations to IDT.
- Develop behavioral treatment plans, monitoring plans, and behavior guidelines/protocols.
- Train staff on individual’s psychological profiles and needs.
- Follow up on group training via direct observation of individual staff performance.
- Prepare consults for appointments regarding individual’s mental and behavioral status, including medication recommendations.
- Attend regularly scheduled team meetings and residential staff meetings.
- Obtain informed consent for potential consumer rights restrictions.
- Present individual cases to the HRC monthly and annually.
- Maintain required contact with the CAB representative, Medicaid Service Coordinator, and Psychology Services Coordinator.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA practices.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the facility and agency reputation.
