Behavioral Health Therapist- Southpoint

About the role

Community Health Network is seeking a Behavioral Health (BH) Therapist Licensed (L) to engage with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, focusing on improving health and wellness, fostering self-directed lives, and helping clients reach their full potential. This role specializes in working with younger kids (age 12 and under) and utilizes evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Focused CBT to support clients' healing and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient mental health interventions, including comprehensive psycho-social assessments, individual, family, and group therapies, and crisis intervention tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans integrating evidence-based practices.
• Conduct individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions using modalities to reduce distressing symptoms and improve overall functioning.
• Develop and implement effective discharge plans as appropriate to client needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care, advocate for clients, and make referrals to additional resources and support services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Ensure ethical therapeutic practice, including a trauma-informed lens, harm reduction model, and non-judgmental support.
• Foster a safe and supportive therapeutic environment that honors clients' identities, experiences, and cultural perspectives, promoting empowerment and self-advocacy.
• Stay well-informed of current research and best practices, participating in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Engage in self-care practices to prevent burnout and maintain personal well-being, modeling healthy coping strategies for clients and colleagues.

Requirements

• LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT licensure in the State of Indiana required.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health-related field required.
• 2+ years of experience providing mental health treatment required.
• Possess a current Indiana Driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance.
