Behavioral Health Therapist (Part-Time, MA License)
About the role
Galileo is seeking a culturally sensitive and thoughtful therapist to join its part-time digital-first, primary-care medical group. The ideal candidate will leverage data, technology, and operational rigor to deliver therapy to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide integrated behavioral health care among a team of primary and specialty care providers, focusing on clinical quality and patient-centricity.
- Maintain a caseload of patients, conducting 30 to 45 minute therapy sessions for Galileo patients residing in a state of licensure with set blocks of time each week.
- Work with a diverse patient population, fostering an inclusive environment that respects all backgrounds.
- Solve patient problems efficiently by drawing on resourcefulness, collaborating with team members, and adopting a "can-do" approach.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with providing teletherapy (text-based, video, phone) and integrating technology and data into practice/care provision.
- Trained with evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT).
- Comfortable with providing safety planning and intervention during situations where a client might present with higher risks.
- Licensed and credentialed to support patients with clinical concerns like anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.
- Active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Active license in Massachusetts (MA) required. Additional licenses in Oregon (OR), California (CA), Texas (TX), and Tennessee (TN) is a plus.
Qualifications
- Professionally fluent in Spanish, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the cultural nuances for native Spanish speakers in a medical setting.

Pay
Hourly rate equivalent to up to $120,000 annually, with compensation prorated to your part-time schedule. Dependent on licensure, we may be able to offer a schedule of up to 24 hours/week.
Schedule
This is primarily a sedentary position. Physical requirements may include lifting up to 10 pounds, manual dexterity, near/far visual acuity, keyboarding, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech, sitting, standing, walking, and screen usage 8 or more hours per day.
