Position Summary:
The Program Therapist is responsible for daily direction of activities of the milieu by providing leadership and acting as a clinical resource for programmatic interventions and implementation of the Multi-disciplinary Treatment Plan. He/she provides social services to patients and their families including facilitating individual, group, and family therapy for the assigned program. This person is expected to coordinate the treatment planning process, provide therapeutic counseling and discharge planning. The Program Therapist is responsible for ascertaining information regarding placement and ensuring that referrals are made appropriately.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION
- Master's Degree in social work, mental health, psychology or related field required.
- License preferred. - EXPERIENCE
- Minimum: Two (2) years psychiatric experience with Adults, Geriatric or Chemical Dependency/Dual Diagnosed patients.
Required Certification/Licenses/Registrations
- CPI within 3 months of employment
- American Heart Association BLS certification
