Behavioral Health Therapist - Addiction Recovery Center

Role Overview

Provides support to a multidisciplinary team in assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and discharge planning for patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Offers individual, group, and family counseling to achieve treatment goals, utilizing therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy.
• Conducts ongoing patient assessments, documents progress, and involves families in the process.
• Collaborates with team members and community providers to develop and implement personalized treatment and discharge plans.
• Participates in staffing, discharge planning, and care coordination, ensuring timely and effective transitions.
• Assists with assessments, admissions, and managing aggressive behaviors using CPI methods when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Certifications: BLS, CADC, LPC or LSW within specified timeframes.
• Experience in behavioral health with strong communication, confidentiality, and computer skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately, work with diverse populations, and handle emergency situations.
