Behavioral Health Therapist 4 Mental Health Programs/Assessments

About the role

The Inova Behavioral Health Services Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist 4 to join the team. This program helps individuals re-enter their family and community environments after inpatient care or provides support before outpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical expert providing therapeutic services, psychoeducational programming, and behavioral interventions to assist clients in achieving treatment goals.
• Assess and diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders using bio/psycho/social assessments and evidence-based interventions.
• Provide clinical supervision to team members seeking licensure and mentorship to graduate students during clinical internships.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire.
• Crisis Prevention Institute in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receiving CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
• Five years of experience post-licensure in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming, and targeted interventions.
• Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health-related field.

Qualifications

• Approved Clinical Supervisor within 3 months.

Pay

This role is offered on a full-time day shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Schedule
