Behavioral Health Technician - Tue-Sat 2pm-10:30pm

About the role

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at ERC Pathlight is a key member of the interdisciplinary team providing direct care to inpatient and residential patients. This role involves supporting patients through various activities of daily living, implementing therapeutic programming, and maintaining a safe and structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily program structure by following the established schedule.
• Completes observation rounds and safety checks as directed by the physician.
• Works with patients on de-escalation techniques and implementing coping skills according to the treatment plan.
• Takes patients out for fresh air breaks and provides patient transportation for medical appointments (when applicable).
• Takes patient vital signs, weights, and urine specific gravity (when applicable).
• Assists in group therapy sessions (when applicable).
• Provides meal support and bathroom monitoring.
• Documents patient observations, meals, and individual check-ins during the shift.
• Assists with morning routines and activities of daily living while patients are in the spa or bathroom.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record (only for locations requiring company vehicles or driving on behalf of the company).
• 6 months of direct patient care experience (preferred).
• Mental Health/Psych Tech, CNA (preferred).

Better Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 1 year of direct patient care experience (required).
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record (only for locations requiring company vehicles or driving on behalf of the company).
• Mental Health/Psych Tech, CNA (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of ERC milieu experience (required for internal teammates only).

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is based on candidate experience and market expectations. For Washington, the pay range is $22.32 - $25.58 USD per hour.
