Behavioral Health Technician - Therapeutic Group Home

ACTS, Inc. is growing and seeks compassionate, driven individuals to join the Therapeutic Group Home Team. This team makes a lasting impact through meaningful work.

Responsibilities

• Making frequent rounds of facility to insure adequate safeguards and client safety are maintained for male juvenile population
• Observing clients for changes in behavior and motivates clients to participate in activities
• Advises clients in their personal adjustment utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques
• Interprets the client handbook for clients as needed and applies applicable rules and regulations to clients
• Documents individual contacts, daily case notes, incident and injury reports and grievances
• Aids clients in preparing for court appearances or other outside activities
• Implements supportive, psycho-educational and recreational groups
• Advise and guide clients on personal hygiene habits
• Monitor and track compliance with self-administered medication process after successful completion of training provided by ACTS, Inc.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A high school diploma or the equivalent
• Valid Florida Driver License
• Eligibility status, as determined by Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 and/or Local Law
• Ability to participate in crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid training and apply learned techniques, as needed

Pay

Salary Range: $17.00-$18.50/hr. (plus shift differential for PM and overnight shifts)

Schedule

Work/Life Balance: 10 company paid holidays and 11 days paid time off per year
