Behavioral Health Technician - Therapeutic Group Home

Responsibilities
- Making frequent rounds of facility to insure adequate safeguards and client safety are maintained for male juvenile population
- Observing clients for changes in behavior and motivates clients to participate in activities
- Advises clients in their personal adjustment utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques
- Interprets the client handbook for clients as needed and applies applicable rules and regulations to clients
- Documents individual contacts, daily case notes, incident and injury reports and grievances
- Aids clients in preparing for court appearances or other outside activities
- Implements supportive, psycho-educational and recreational groups
- Advise and guide clients on personal hygiene habits
- Monitor and track compliance with self-administered medication process after successful completion of training provided by ACTS, Inc.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or the equivalent
- Valid Florida Driver License
- Eligibility status, as determined by Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 435 and/or Local Law
- Ability to participate in crisis intervention and CPR/First Aid training and apply learned techniques, as needed

Pay
Salary Range: $17.00-$18.50/hr. (plus shift differential for PM and overnight shifts)
Schedule
Work/Life Balance: 10 company paid holidays and 11 days paid time off per year
