Behavioral Health Technician Manager

About the role

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Manager at Pyramid Healthcare New River Valley Inpatient in Radford is responsible for leading and overseeing the Behavioral Health Technician department. This position ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality behavioral health services while supporting quality client care, staff development, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the Behavioral Health Technician department.
• Supervise Lead BHTs, BHT Supervisors, Behavioral Health Technicians, and other assigned staff.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and workforce planning to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of client care.
• Develop and implement departmental training, competency, and professional development initiatives.
• Maintain department performance, documentation quality, client safety, and adherence to organizational policies and treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and operational leadership regarding client care, staffing needs, treatment programming, and operational initiatives.
• Monitor quality metrics, regulatory compliance, licensing standards, accreditation requirements, and department performance improvement activities.
• Oversee transportation operations, client supervision practices, and therapeutic milieu management as applicable.
• Participate in budget planning, resource allocation, and operational improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.

Skills

Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.

Pay

$50,000.00/year - $56,000.00/year

Schedule

Full Time 40 hours/week with on-call responsibilities
