Behavioral Health Technician - IBHS School Based
Overview
Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support children and adolescents within our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) School-Based Program in Bloomsburg, PA.
Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides one-on-one and group behavioral support services to children and adolescents in school settings. Working under the supervision of clinical staff, the BHT assists students in developing positive behavioral, emotional, and social skills while supporting individualized treatment plans and educational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral support services to children and adolescents in school settings
- Implement individualized treatment and behavior support plans
- Aid students with emotional regulation, coping skills, and social skill development
- Utilize positive behavioral interventions and reinforcement strategies
- Support students in maintaining appropriate classroom behavior and engagement
- Collaborate with teachers, school personnel, clinicians, and families
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or GED, Minimum of two years of experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with behavioral health needs
- Prior experience in IBHS, behavioral health, education, therapeutic support, childcare, or residential treatment
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions
- Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling, or a related field
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Pennsylvania clearances (Act 33/34 and FBI Fingerprinting)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Work Location
This is a school-based position located in the Bloomsburg Area. Employees will work directly within assigned educational settings supporting students receiving IBHS services.
