Behavioral Health Technician I
About the Role
The Behavioral Health Technician (Mental Health Technician) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to behavioral health nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the technician assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with their skills/training and the needs of the department. Responsibilities include consistently assisting the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The technician complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
- High School Graduate or GED

About the Facility
Mission Hospital, a member of Mission Health and an operating division of HCA Healthcare, is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
