Behavioral Health Technician FT Nights
Advanced Recovery Systems is a trusted, physician-led behavioral healthcare company dedicated to providing evidence-based, expert care for addiction and mental health conditions. We work with healthcare providers, organizations, and individuals to connect those in need to life-saving addiction treatment and mental health support that repairs lives, families, and surrounding communities. The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders, featuring 71 total beds: 10 for Detox, 46 for Residential, and 15 for Mental Health.
About the role
The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for the observation and monitoring of patients in treatment, reporting duties as indicated, and contributing to the welfare of the organization by assisting patients in a variety of activities. They assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment and work effectively with the facility leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Communicate and enforce facility program rules and ensure compliance in a firm but fair and professional manner.
- Communicate patient behavior with immediate supervisor and clinical team as appropriate.
- Address problem behaviors as needed through verbal de-escalation techniques.
- Adhere to time schedules.
- Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with patients and staff.
- Ensure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear, accurate, and legible.
- Keep clinical records secure at all times.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years patient care experience OR 1 year patient care experience + Associate's degree required.
- Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards required.
Qualifications
- Experience working with adult patients (18+) preferred.
- Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services in roles with emphasis involving direct customer or client service experience, strongly preferred.
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification or in process of obtaining preferred.
Schedule
- 3 / 12-hour shifts (7p-7a) & every other weekend.
Pay
- Pay Range: $18 - $20/hr plus, based on experience.
- $2/hr Night Shift Differential.
