Behavioral Health Technician / CHR

About the Role

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) embraces and embodies Tucson Indian Center’s (TIC) mission, purpose, vision, core values, guiding principles, and strategic goals. This position provides dedicated, culturally competent, self-motivated, and compassionate behavioral health services to TIC patients. The role requires active BHT certification in the State of Arizona and close collaboration with the outpatient integrated treatment center team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary person to conduct patient assessments and ensure behavioral health patient intakes are completed for Behavioral Health Providers.
• Assess individuals in a timely and professional manner, meeting quality standards for oversight and funding entities, including T/RBHA (as applicable) and licensing entities.
• Act as a member of a multi-disciplinary patient care team, providing case management services that support the treatment goals outlined in patients' care plans.
• Represent TIC professionally and positively, promoting its core values and mission while exercising discretion, diplomacy, and tact in all customer interactions.
• Provide Community Health Representative (CHR) services, particularly in behavioral health, including patient education, referrals, case management, and outreach.

Requirements

• Maintain active Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) certification in the State of Arizona.
