Responsibilities
- Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
- Absorb and assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
- Observe and promptly report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
- Manage the tech desk and support nursing/physician staff and overall department throughput.
- Document care and activities per unit standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned; participate in performance improvement and required education.
Requirements
- High School diploma preferred.
- (6 months of mental health experience)
- SRNA or EMT preferred.
- BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.

- Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, keyboard entry, repetitive movements, kneeling, lifting/moving patients
- Sometimes sitting and squatting
- Rarely running or climbing
