Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - East Valley Locations
About the role
New Horizon Community Care (NHCC) is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) and Para Professionals to support youth and adults through structured, therapeutic programs in multiple locations including Chandler, Tempe, Glendale, Phoenix, and Casa Grande. Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure safety
- Facilitate groups, activities, and skill-building sessions
- Support treatment goals and behavior plans
- Aid in documentation and case coordination
- Provide crisis intervention when needed
- Support academics (CHOICE)
- Participate in recreation and movement-based activities (Therapeutic Rec)
- Collaborate with clinical and program teams
Qualifications
- Meet state licensing requirements for BHTs/Para Professionals
- 21+ years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid AZ Driver's License & insurable driving record
- Ability to obtain an AZ DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (Unrestricted)
Pay & Benefits
- $23–$27/hr based on education and experience in the behavioral health field
