Nonprofit organization in Banksville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA seeking an onsite Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for full-time and part-time positions.
About the role
Provide group behavioral interventions in a clinical setting for children and youth (ages 2–21) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disorders. Work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as part of a clinical team to positively impact the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families.
Responsibilities
- Support participants in therapeutic activities aligned with each participant’s Individual Treatment Plan.
- Implement treatment plans according to written protocols.
- Collect and document service data, including parent/caregiver signatures and other relevant documentation.
- Actively participate in monthly meetings and supervision with the direct supervisor and treatment team.
- Build rapport and maintain clinical boundaries with participants and families.
- Collaborate with families and the treatment team to support participant progress.
- Work closely with the supervising Behavior Analyst to provide input on treatment response and progress.
- Submit accurate clinical documentation within specified time frames.
- Record data within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Participate in clinical supervision and training.
- Maintain assigned billable hours.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience as a BHT.
- Completed or willing to complete RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Training.
- Abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Commitment to maintain client and family confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws and internal policies.
Working Conditions
- Hours vary from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the possibility of evening and weekend hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to physically manage clients in the event of a crisis or emergency.
- Assume and maintain a variety of postures (sitting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, standing) for extended periods.
Pay
$17–$21 per hour.
