Behavioral Health Technician

Job Summary

Turning Point of Tampa is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with addiction and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to clients, focusing on daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation
• Absorb and implement behavioral interventions and crisis management, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses, to implement individualized treatment plans
• Participate in activities, such as recreation therapy, educational programs, and community outings, to promote client engagement and socialization

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work) is preferred
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience working in mental/behavioral health environment preferred
• Experience with the 12-Step program required
• Must have an acceptable driving record and complete a background check

• Position 1: Sunday 9a-9p, Monday 8a-2p, Wednesday 9a-9p, and Thursday 11a-9p
• Position 2: Monday 9a-9p, Tuesday 3p-11p, Thursday 1p-11p, and Friday 2p-11p
• Position 3: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8a-9p
• Position 4 (Part-Time): Sunday 1p-9p
