Behavioral Health Technician

About the role

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Pyramid Healthcare Mountaineer Inpatient in Kearneysville plays a crucial role in delivering residential and outpatient treatment services. This position involves direct supervision, support, and engagement with clients in treatment, assisting clinical and administrative teams, and ensuring a safe therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete the intake process with new clients into program
• Maintain client documentation
• Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable
• Coordinate client activities
• Follow objectives of treatment plans and client-specific needs
• Evaluate behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide response including crisis intervention
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment
• Absorb clients to and from treatment programs, medical appointments, meetings, and other approved locations
• Ensure safe supervision of clients during transportation
• Follow all company transportation policies and safety procedures
• Maintain required transportation documentation and logs
• Ensure vehicles are operated safely and report maintenance or safety concerns as appropriate

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
