Behavioral Health Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities.
• Report any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggest modifications to the treatment plan.
• Provide crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification – must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA preferred.
