Behavioral Health Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation for patients to and from the facility.
• Prevent and manage crises with patients who have various behavioral issues.
• Responsible for the non‑mechanical upkeep of the van, ensuring cleanliness inside the vehicles, reporting damage, and mechanical problems for repairs (all concerns reported to the Executive Director).
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Assist with milieu management as needed, including front office coverage, check‑in/out process, line of sight, dismissal, and administrative duties as required.
• Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs and gas receipts, turning them into the Executive Director at the end of the shift.
• Maintain patient attendance log, ensuring patients are delivered to authorized adults.
• Communicate and consult with clinical staff on patient issues.
• Safeguard the dignity and respect of patients and guests.
• Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team‑oriented, harassment‑free work environment by understanding and complying with organization policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous clinical experience in a behavioral practice.
• Passion for serving youth and families with integrity and compassion.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.
• Preferred: 1 year of patient transportation experience.

Pay

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
