Behavioral Health Technician Adult Psych

Location: Indianapolis, IN – Ascension St. Vincent Stress Center, Adult Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral health patient care.
• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observe and record patient behavior and activities. Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan.
• Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or similar area of study.
• 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.

Schedule

• Full-time, days: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Every third weekend and holiday rotation.
