About the role

Hiring for the 2026-2027 school year! As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents aged 2-24 with serious, identified emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. Under the guidance of a Behavioral Consultant, you will help improve the client's independent functioning to levels requiring less or no service intervention. You will travel to the client's home or school daily, adhering to the treatment plan and implementing behavioral and treatment interventions, while setting boundaries to prevent dependency and supporting parents and professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning for clients
  • Provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences
  • Set boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency
  • Support parents and adult professionals
  • Train parents and young adults in utilizing provided skills
  • Provide positive reinforcement and culturally aware service provision

Requirements

  • Certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT
  • 2 years’ prior experience in Behavioral Health or Behavior Analysis Certification from an NC-CAs-accredited organization
  • High School diploma or equivalent, and completion of the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List)
  • Ability to complete the RBT Training within the first 10 days of hire
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing Behavioral Health services
