Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 40 hours of training in content covered by Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) training, as verified by a BCBA.
Completion of all ongoing training, policy review, and supervisory requirements.
Skills/Knowledge
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work positively in a strength-based intervention model.
- Ability to adhere to mandated timelines and provide services to clients and families.
Physical Ability
- Physical ability to drive.
- Ability to physically restrain student, in accordance with CLIU protocols.
- Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes.
- Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to conduct a safety restraint protocol which requires: a normal degree of flexibility; the ability to stand, walk, run, and shuffle for at least several minutes; the ability to kneel on one and two knees and then stand up; the ability to bend the trunk at 45 degrees and twist to either side; the ability to grasp firmly and raise hands above the head; and the ability to learn and correctly demonstrate multi-step physical skills.

Functions/Duties/Responsibilities
- To assist client with daily living skills.
- To implement behavior management programs and interventions.
- To empower parents/guardians in their roles as primary caretakers.
- To serve as a positive role model.
- To complete appropriate paperwork and documentation, as required.
- To work with team members in the department, enforcement, and evaluation of treatment plans.
- To travel to and from clients’ homes, a requirement to perform duties.
- To work with other staff supporting their work with clients.
- To perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor of Behavioral Health Services.
