Behavioral Health Technician ABA

About the role

Hiring for the 2026-2027 school year! As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents aged 2-24 who are dealing with serious, identified emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. Under the guidance of a Behavioral Consultant, you will help improve the client's independent functioning to levels where less or no service intervention is needed. You will travel to the client's home or school daily, adhering to the treatment plan and providing behavioral and treatment interventions, along with setting boundaries to prevent dependency. You will also support parents and adult professionals, educating them and training them to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement, and ensuring culturally competent service provision.

Responsibilities

• Aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels requiring less or no service intervention.
• Travel to the client’s home/school/service location daily, following the prescribed treatment plan.
• Provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client.
• Set boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency upon your services.
• Support parents and adult professionals by educating them and training them to utilize these skills.
• Provide positive reinforcement and ensure culturally aware and competent service provision.

Requirements

• Certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
• Two years of prior experience in Behavioral Health or Behavior Analysis Certification from an NC-CAs accredited organization.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of the 40-hour RBT Training (RBT Task List).
• Ability to complete the RBT Training within the first 10 days of hire (paid training time).
• At least two years of experience providing Behavioral Health services.
