About the role
Hiring for the 2026-2027 School Year! As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents aged 2-24 dealing with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances. Under the Behavioral Consultant's guidance, you will help improve the client's independent functioning to levels requiring less or no service intervention. You will travel to the client’s home or school daily, adhering to the treatment plan and offering behavioral and treatment interventions, along with setting boundaries to prevent dependency. Additionally, you will support parents and adult professionals, educate them on the provided skills, and provide positive reinforcement. You must hold a Certified asBCaBA, RBT, or BCAT certification.
Responsibilities
- Aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning for clients.
- Travel to clients' home/school/service location daily.
- Provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences.
- Set boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency.
- Support parents and adult professionals.
- Educate and train parents/young adults on utilizing these skills.
- Provide positive reinforcement and culturally aware service provision.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience providing Behavioral Health services.
- High School diploma or equivalent, and completion of the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List).
- Certification (or ability to complete within the first 10 days of hire) from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Certified asBCaBA, RBT, or BCAT certification.
