About the role
Hiring for the 2026-2027 school year! As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents aged 2-24 with identified emotional and behavioral disturbances. Under the guidance of a Behavioral Consultant, you will help improve the client's independent functioning to levels requiring less or no service intervention. You will travel to the client's home or school daily, adhering to the treatment plan and offering behavioral and treatment interventions, along with setting boundaries to prevent dependency. Additionally, you will support parents and adult professionals, educate and train them in utilizing these skills, and provide positive reinforcement.
Responsibilities
- Aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning for clients
- Travel to clients' home/school/service location daily
- Provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences
- Set boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency
- Support parents and adult professionals
- Educate and train parents/young adults in utilizing these skills
- Provide culturally aware and competent service provision
Requirements
- Certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT
- 2 years’ prior experience in Behavioral Health or Behavior Analysis Certification from an NC-CAs accredited organization
- High School diploma or equivalent and completion of the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List)
- Ability to complete the RBT Training within the first 10 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing Behavioral Health services
Qualifications
