For over 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries, including post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues, and accident or sports-related head injuries.
We are searching for Weekend Behavior Health Technicians to work in our residential programs located in Covington, LA. Behavior Technicians provide direct care services to people with behavioral challenges as a result of brain injury.
Schedule
12-hour shifts on weekends.
Responsibilities
- Implements facility-wide behavioral training as well as individual behavioral protocols, completing the necessary documentation.
- Models appropriate behavior, provides positive reinforcement, and corrective feedback on a daily basis.
- Assists residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, transfers, toileting, and physical assistance.
- Assists and participates in physical, vocational, and recreational activities.
- Transports residents to medical appointments, vocational, recreational, and educational activities in the community.
- Completes all required daily documentation (e.g., behavioral data, token exchange, shift summaries, house charts, checklists, medication administration records, and incident reports).
- Performs housekeeping chores (e.g., laundry, vacuuming, dusting).
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain responsible driving behaviors.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
