Responsibilities
- Participate in the provision of safe, quality patient care as delegated by the Nurse Manager.
- Greet patients upon admission to the Behavioral Health Unit.
- Provide patient unit orientation, including the standard daily activity schedule and setting behavior expectations during the patient’s stay.
- Lead group sessions to develop patient relationships, including daily goal setting and follow-up to track accomplishments.
- Establish rapport and trust with patients and offer interventions if situations escalate.
- Assist with patient personal care and perform health monitoring activities as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- More than 2 years' experience in a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training.
Preferred training: Medical terminology, CNA, or previous Behavioral Health experience.
Schedule
- 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
- Part-time, 8 hours per week with the option to work additional hours.
- Every other weekend.
- Rotating holidays.
