About the role

Position responsible for direct, basic and supportive care to clients in our short term recovery program.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to program, including rules and regulations and expectations.
• Provide an outlined daily schedule of activities.
• Provide transportation to and from appointments outside the residence.
• Provide oversight and intervention to consumers to ensure a safe and cooperative recovery environment.
• Attend and supervise all outside meetings and approved extracurricular outings, enforcing program rules.
• Record a detailed account of consumers’ behavioral, medical and staff interactions in daily shift notes.
• Maintain EMR and scan documentation into appropriate headers.
• Assist with cooking, laundry and other general household activities necessary to maintain sanitary conditions and general housekeeping upkeep.
• Offer a general account of the ending shift to employees coming onto shift to ensure a smooth transition of care.
• Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and support Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.

Requirements

• Must work well in a team environment.
• Work with staff, consumers and others in a professional, cooperative, ethical, respectful and effective manner.
• Must pass Criminal Investigation Background and DHHR background checks as well as post offer drug screen.
• Must have valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
