About the role
This position will work with adolescents and young adults releasing from WA State Juvenile Rehabilitation facilities who are enrolled in the POST Program to deliver an Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach with Assertive Continuing Care (A-CRA/ACC)-based intervention.
Responsibilities
- Meets with youth on their caseload weekly
- Works with youth on life skills, substance use refusal, resource referrals
- Supports the youth’s transition to the community
- Trained in motivational interviewing and certified in A-CRA/ACC
- Learns to integrate trauma informed approaches
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent years of experience in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- 4 years of experience providing direct treatment services to children and families (i.e. assessments, therapy, case management)
- Master’s Degree and 2 years of experience providing direct treatment services to children and families
Qualifications
- Confirmed proficiency in a second language via successful completion of a language assessment may be required for certain departments
- Valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions/departments
Skills
- Experience providing behavioral interventions with children & families
- Experience working in a behavioral or clinical research setting
- Experience with evidence based practice
