Behavioral Health Provider - LCSW/LPC

About the role

STRIDE Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center located in the Denver Metro area. We offer comprehensive services including primary care, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, health education, and outreach. This position is for a Licensed Master’s Level Clinician (LCSW or LPC) who will provide clinical mental health services in an integrated primary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver brief clinical interventions to STRIDE’s patient population in an integrated primary care setting, including screening/assessment for behavioral health disorders, substance use concerns, stress, and/or behavioral challenges with medical regimen, and providing brief therapy services when indicated.
• Provide sensitive mental health and substance use treatment to individuals and families from different backgrounds.
• Contribute as a member of multidisciplinary teams (comprised of medical, dental, care coordination, health education and other BHPs) in delivering behavioral health services to STRIDE’s patients.
• Collaborate in implementing and developing innovative service line approaches.
• Interact positively and build rapport with patients, coworkers, and community partners.

Requirements

• Master’s degree completed in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Colorado Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in active and good standing; Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in good standing will also be considered depending on previous experience in similar settings and site/location availability.
• Bilingual candidates preferred but not required.
• BLS Certification.
• Preferred experience working with diverse patient populations.
• Preferred experience working in health psychology or integrated care settings.
• Preferred experience working with co-occurring substance use disorders and/or Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services.
• Preferred experience working with individuals throughout the lifespan.

Skills & Expertise

• Work independently and alongside other medical and behavioral health providers in the clinic.
• Organize work in a manner that ensures accuracy and efficiency, including the ability to drive between clinics to provide services as needed.
• Analyze and synthesize data to determine the appropriate services needed for patients.
• Exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
• Complete clinical documentation within 72 hours of encounter.
• Handle HIPAA sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
• Protect the confidentiality of patients, employees, and business information.

Pay

$72,000 - $82,000 annually.
