Behavioral Health Professional II

About the role

Behavioral Health Professional assist adults with behavioral health concerns, living in the community, develop independent living skills and self-help skills by providing ongoing instruction/training, guidance, and modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field
• Two (2) years experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances
• OR certified in an Evidence Based Practice

Preferred

• Knowledge of community crisis resources and response services
• Experience in collaboration within a community System of Care
• Experience supporting individuals in education and employment

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and dependable transportation
• Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g., word-processing, e-mail)
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, sensitivity and respect to children and families including regarding cultural/value/lifestyle differences
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and effective communication

Pay

$20.80 per hour starting rate
