About the role
Maine Arts Academy is a free Charter Public School serving grades 7-12.
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health services to students and staff
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to integrate mental health support into the curriculum
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Requirements
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
- Licensed or license-eligible in Maine as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Experience working with adolescents and/or individuals with behavioral health needs
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pass a background check
Skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Experience with evidence-based practices
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
