Behavioral Health Practitioner
AHL HealthCare Group is seeking both part-time and full-time Behavioral Health Practitioners (BHPR), also known as Mental Health Practitioners, to join our team at our IRTS facility near the UMD campus in Duluth.

BHPRs work to support our residents in various ways, offering meaningful responsibilities and considerable potential for professional growth. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, gain valuable experience, and enhance your skills in the healthcare field.
Responsibilities
- Implement and follow person-centered, positive practice behavior support plans/ITPs for individuals to maintain or improve areas of independent living such as symptom management, budgeting, maintaining services, meal prep/planning, and employment.
- Demonstrate general knowledge of social services, record keeping, reporting requirements, and confidentiality.
- Create and follow ITP plans set up for clients, using creative ways to encourage participation.
- Provide support and supervision as defined in each ITP plan, using therapeutic interventions while ensuring consumer safety.
- Regularly travel in the community, transport clients, and ensure safe vehicle operation, including all passengers wearing seatbelts, respecting speed limits, following agency policy, maintaining current car insurance, and possessing a valid driver’s license at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to multitask and strong communication skills.
- Enjoys conducting groups and is an effective team member.
- Ability to pass MVR, maintain a valid driver’s license, insurance, and maintain background study clearance.
- Prior IRTS experience preferred.
Qualifications
For Behavioral Health Practitioners, one of the following qualification sets is required:
- 30 semester hours and 2000 supervised hours in Behavioral Health or a related field.
- Completed Practicum or Internship in Behavioral Sciences or a related field.
- 4000 supervised hours in Behavioral Health or a related field.
- 2000 supervised hours and receives weekly clinical supervision from a Mental Health Professional (MHP).
Schedule
- Full-Time Roles: Awake Overnight (11:55 pm–8 am), every other weekend availability required.
- Part-Time Roles:
- Day shift (8 am–4 pm)
- Evening shift (4 pm–12 am)
- Every other weekend availability required
Pay
$21.00–$25.00/hour depending on experience and education.
