Behavioral Health Paraprofessional
About the Role
Support elementary-aged students in a school-based setting through the Pinocchio Program, offering emotional and behavioral support to help young children thrive. This is a part-time role working 4 days a week at Coleman Elementary in the Meramec Valley School District, with a schedule based on the assigned school hours (approximately 20–32 hours per week).
This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about working with children, values early intervention, and wants to be part of a program that equips young students and families with tools for emotional wellness and success in school, at home, and in life.
Responsibilities
- Screen and observe students (grades K–3) for program eligibility
- Meet weekly with each eligible child individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with families to develop individualized support plans
- Schedule and facilitate two parent conferences during the school year
- Coordinate with school staff and families to ensure appropriate services
- Link families to additional Compass Health programs and resources as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and meet productivity expectations
- Attend required team meetings, training, and supervision sessions
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Professional or practical experience working with children preferred
