Behavioral Health Medication Management Provider
About the role
One Love Agency is seeking a Behavioral Health Medication Management Provider to join our growing behavioral health team. For over fifteen years we have walked alongside Idaho families through difficult seasons, operating from the Hawaiian value of hānai — to take in, nurture, and care for another as your own — and guided by the Big Three: Clients, Compliance, and Community Partners. Success in this role is measured by clients experiencing improved stability and quality of life, families feeling heard and supported, strong collaboration with treatment teams, timely and compliant documentation, positive relationships with referral partners, and expanded access to psychiatric care within our communities.
Responsibilities
You will provide psychiatric medication management services for children, adolescents, and adults receiving behavioral health and addiction treatment, understanding that medication is one piece of a person’s recovery journey, listening before treating, and focusing on changing lives rather than merely managing symptoms.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with mental health and co‑occurring substance use disorders through evidence‑based medication management, develop treatment recommendations, prescribe medications, monitor effectiveness, and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Work closely with therapists, case managers, peer support specialists, and other members of the treatment team to coordinate whole‑person care.
- Educate clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, side effects, treatment expectations, and recovery goals.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically sound documentation that meets agency, payer, IDAPA, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance to staff regarding behavioral health concerns, medication‑related issues, and higher‑acuity client situations when appropriate.
- Help expand access to psychiatric services in communities where quality mental health care remains difficult to find.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted Idaho license (or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment) as one of the following: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP); Physician Assistant (PA‑C) with psychiatric experience and appropriate supervising physician relationship, if applicable; Psychiatrist (MD or DO).
- Current DE
