About the role
Support behavioral health and psychiatry services by ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including intake, vitals, screenings, testing, and injections
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, treatment plans, medication refills, and prior authorizations
- Manage internal communications and respond to patient and team inquiries in a timely manner
- Support laboratory processes, including specimen collection and communicating results to patients
- Assist in maintaining provider schedules and supporting clinic productivity goals
- Participate in daily huddles and collaborate with care teams to prepare for patient visits
- Provide translation assistance when needed for verbal and written communications
- Maintain logs, records, and reports in accordance with department standards
- Ensure medical supplies are stocked and available for clinic operations
- Perform emergency procedures in accordance with approved protocols
- Adhere to all organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and confidentiality standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned within scope
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from a state-approved school (Certified or Registered preferred)
- At least one year of experience in healthcare or behavioral health
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records systems
Preferred
Bilingual in Vietnamese or Spanish
