Behavioral Health Lead Clinical Supervisor

About the Role

The Behavioral Health Lead Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision for up to ten provisionally licensed clinical social workers (LCSWAs). This role serves as a leader in the behavioral health department for clinical supervision, ensuring adherence to current NASW standards, rules, and codes. The selected individual will act as a contact point for senior management, the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, and the Director of School Behavioral Health regarding clinical practice and oversight of licensed clinical social workers and associates.

In addition to supervision, this role involves direct student care as part of a multidisciplinary school-based treatment team, facilitating holistic, whole-person behavioral healthcare for Kintegra students. The Lead Clinical Supervisor will also provide behavioral health and substance abuse screening, brief intervention, education, and referral services in a school-based setting. They will offer ongoing consultation and treatment planning support for school administrators, social workers, and teaching personnel to meet the needs of individual clients and school programs. This role works with patients facing psychosocial, behavioral health, chronic disease, behavior change, and/or substance use concerns while adhering to all policies, professional practice standards, and clinical practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of assigned provisionally licensed providers.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of behavioral health program guidelines/procedures to identify issues.
• Update and maintain accurate and secure patient medical records; ensure supervisees document appropriately.
• Identify and solve process, personnel, or clinical challenges.
• Regularly update the Director of School Behavioral Health with changes and/or challenges.
• Coordinate and facilitate referral processes and community partnerships.
• Participate in monthly management meetings and other assigned meetings as required.
• Remain active in a clinical role, providing evidence-based assessment, intervention, consultation, and referral services for students with behavioral and chronic health conditions.
• Work cooperatively as part of the student services and school team to improve patient care and increase team efficiency.
• Adhere to productivity and administrative time expectations set and agreed upon by the Director of School Behavioral Health.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance professional competence relevant to medical, substance use, and legal issues impacting patient care.
• Perform other clinical or administrative functions as directed by the Director of School Behavioral Health.

Requirements

• Full professional licensure as an LCSW with a minimum of 1 year of experience providing clinical supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, operations staff, physicians, other departments, and community partners.
• Knowledge of psychosocial experiences of students, particularly trauma-informed treatment modalities and various forms of treatment.
• Ability to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, including school-based providers as direct reports.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
