Behavioral Health Intake Coordinator - Central Scheduling

Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Job Summary

Coordinates and assists in the provision of Behavioral Health resources and services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist families in determining needed resources and services through a screening and triage process.
• Answer questions and concerns of families and provide service referrals and scheduling.
• Gather referral and pre‑admission information and complete all pre‑admission data entry.
• Identify emergent or complex cases and seek clinical review prior to finalizing the referral.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient resource and scheduling services.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record and scheduling software to assess demand for services and capacity to meet community needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of all clinical and administrative information consistent with agency policy.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field (required).

Skills

• Strong customer service skills.

• Proficiency with EPIC and the NCHBH system (preferred).

Experience

Behavioral health or customer service experience (required).
