About the role

As a Direct Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment and attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients. You will provide informal counseling in the detox center that involves behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement, and socialization skills for the clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a therapeutic and safe group environment
  • Attend to the welfare and basic needs of clients
  • Deliver informal counseling using behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement, and socialization skills

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Peer support certification or CNA certification a plus, but not required
  • Maintain a valid state-appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
