Behavioral Health Direct Care Technician
About the role
Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Technician for a Part-Time, Night Shift position at our Facility Based Clinic in Little Washington, NC. This role plays a crucial part in our mission of empowering individuals and strengthening communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain a therapeutic and safe group environment
- Attend to the welfare and basic needs of clients
- Provide informal counseling in the detox center using behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement, and socialization skills
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
Qualifications
- Peer support certification (not required)
- Entry-level, on-the-job training provided

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
- Part-time
- Night shift: 12am to 8am
- Up to 3 shifts per week, including every other weekend
