Behavioral Health Counselor - RTC - Full-Time 2nd Shift

Join Alexander Youth Network and make a positive impact on the lives of children. We are looking for a Behavioral Health Counselor to provide, coordinate, and monitor a variety of direct care activities for clients in our treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities consistent with the agency's Model of Care.
• Offer appropriate interventions to assist in maintaining consumer baseline behaviors.
• Provide continuous monitoring of clients in crisis and report behaviors to therapeutic and medical staff.
• Participate in 1-to-1 monitoring of clients when deemed appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• B.A./B.S. in a related human service field is preferred.
• Four years of experience in Mental Health is preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and address various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
