Behavioral Health Counselor I - Pediatric Crisis Residential Program
Aim of the Program
The Munson Pediatric Crisis Residential Program is a six-bed, short-term residential treatment program for youth ages 8–17 experiencing a behavioral health crisis. It provides 24/7, trauma-informed care in a safe, home-like environment as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
Program Duration
Residents typically stay for 7–14 days, receiving individualized treatment including therapy, medication management, skill-building, and family involvement to stabilize their mental health and prepare for a successful return home, school, and community.

Job Description
The Munson Behavioral Health Counselor 1 supports patients, coordinates patient care, or wider behavioral health initiatives, and represents behavioral health throughout the hospital and wider community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required for outpatient behavioral health
- Requires either the CADC, CAADC, or the ability to obtain the credential and meet all requirements within 3 years
- BLS certification required, obtainable within 60 days of hire
