Responsibilities
- Provides assessment, psychoeducation, linkage, and advocacy services to adults with mental health and/or co-occurring behavioral health disorders such as substance use disorder or developmental disorder.
- Promotes individual empowerment and reduces the need for inpatient treatment and recidivism within local jails.
- Develops and implements individual services plans.
- Provides support services to caregivers.
- Participates as an Adult Outpatient and Support Services team member.
- Completes required documentation as prescribed by licensure, Medicaid, managed care groups, or other third-party payers regarding clinical services and medical records keeping.
- Complies with all regulations applicable to program services.
- Provides specialized services to meet a variety of individual needs, such as housing, education, risk assessment, and prevention of infectious disease.
- Conducts sessions in individual, group, and family settings, both on-site and in the community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, or other approved Human Services degree OR Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner in Virginia.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.

Pay
Annual salary range: $43,722 – $76,514.
5% increase for Qualified Mental Health Professional.
