May also consider those who have experience practicing as a Licensed Masters Social Worker - Clinical Conditional (LMSW-CC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor - Conditional (LCPC-c) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Conditional (LMFT-c)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the school-based health center medical provider and school personnel to best support students
• Provide screening, assessments, and focused brief treatment to students who use the health center
• Work with students to develop and implement individual, family, and group therapy sessions
• Maintain clinical records and collaborate with community providers
• Participate in team meetings to ensure effective treatment and discharge planning
• Undergo supervision to work towards independent licensure

Requirements

• Current MaineHealth state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field
• Level I: LMSW-cc, LCPC-c, or LMFT-c from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
• Level II: Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
• Behavioral health experience including internship prior to becoming a conditionally licensed clinician (Level I)
• At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician (Level II)

Qualifications

• Comfortable working with children, adolescents, and their families
• Knowledge of and interest in treating substance use disorders is preferred

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
