About the role

The Behavioral Health Clinician I, working under a conditional license, provides comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions. The role also involves maintaining clinical records, collaborating with community providers, and participating in team meetings to ensure effective treatment and discharge planning. This position operates under direct clinical supervision to work toward independent licensure.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or a related field
  • Conditional license (LMSW-cc, LCPC-c, or LMFT-c) from the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
  • Behavioral health experience, including internship, prior to becoming a conditionally licensed clinician

Pay

The pay range for this position is $31.79 to $43.02 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is prorated based on scheduled hours and full-time equivalent (FTE). In addition to base pay, MaineHealth offers a comprehensive benefits package.
