About the role

We are seeking experienced Senior Mental Health Counselors to provide leadership and direct care in a supportive environment that values diversity and inclusion. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, involvement in program development, and contributions to community health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct client care through treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Support the development and maintenance of standards of practice and quality services.
  • Serve as a resource for clinicians, offering consultation, education, and mentorship.
  • Coordinate services with healthcare professionals, including physicians and ARNPs.
  • Engage in client, family, peer, and community education.
  • Maintain current knowledge through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Alaska clinical license such as Licensed Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor upon hire.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience.

  • Advanced clinical skills and the ability to mentor others.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
