Behavioral Health Clinician

About the role

The Behavioral Health Clinician partners with people served and their interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, monitor, and revise behavioral support plans, and provides mental health counseling as requested, including facilitating group counseling sessions. This position ensures that all behavioral health related services support each person's ability to achieve their own vision for themselves, and supports the facilitation of MANDT and other behavioral health training.

This position reports to the Lead Behavioral Health Clinician and serves the Greater Chesapeake Region, based out of Severn and Easton, MD, with regional travel required. This position must meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional, not including CMT training, and is designated as essential, requiring work during times of emergency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and revise behavioral support plans in partnership with people served and their interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide mental health counseling, including facilitating group counseling sessions.
• Ensure behavioral health services align with each individual’s personal vision and goals.
• Support the facilitation of MANDT and other behavioral health training.
• Work autonomously in ambiguous situations, addressing challenges with a solutions-oriented approach.
• Manage positive communication in difficult situations and provide candid, constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• LCPC, LCSW, or LCSW-C license, with the ability to enter clinical supervision with Fello’s onsite board-approved supervisors.
• Three or more years of professional experience providing behavioral supports and mental health counseling to people with disabilities in a community-based setting.
• Deep understanding and passion for person-centered planning and self-direction for people with disabilities.
• Ability to work across cultural, geographic, and programmatic lines to support persons served.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and knowledge of outcome systems.
• Ability to drive is required.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday during Fello’s office hours. Frequent evening and occasional weekend meetings or events are required. The position is eligible for periodic telework.
